This site is a part of the Freeze Frame network. Freeze Frame is the brain child of Tlace. The goal is to create a network of sites that will host Buffy and Angel related screencaps so that no one site has to bear the burden of hosting all of the caps, and no one person has to spend the time to cap all of the episodes. This site is my contribution. It features caps from the season one finale, Prophecy Girl.
The theme of the layout is: Last Moments of Innocence. By the time the finale rolls around the scoobies have seen a lot, but nothing that compares to the events of the episode. I wanted to capture the before and after for each of the main characters.

There are funnier episodes, there are more poignant episodes, and there are certainly episodes with better production value, but Prophecy Girl will always be my favorite because it's the episode that made me fall in love with Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Prophecy Girl falls at the end of the extremely uneven first season. And while there are certainly moments of brilliance in the first eleven episodes, Prophecy Girl blows them all away. I was sort of iffy about the show up until this episode. Between "Giles, I'm sixteen years old, I don't want to die." and "It wasn't our world anymore, they made it theirs." I was hooked.
